Hey all...it's been a while since there was anything on the house that was significant enough to post. Here are some things that have happened since last time:
1. We are officially craigslist junkies...we are on there almost every day watching b/c we learned that if you don't jump on things that you really like and think are a good deal, they'll be gone. So, we have bought most of the tile for our house, 2 toilets, a cooktop, lights for the garage (we hope they work) and most recently backsplash accent tiles for the bathrooms and other stuff.
2. We picked up our official construction plans and foundation plans for the house last week.
3. We meet with Mike, our consultant, in a couple weeks to get ready for bidding.
4. We are about ready to order wood flooring (more expensive than we thought we would spend, but we haven't seend any that compares or that we like better).
Here are some pictures of the stuff we have so far:
Our stack of crap for the house...
Our latest Craigslist purchase...accent tiles to match both bathrooms which can be cut to do accent borders, etc (it's natural stone, so we are using it only for accents b/c it has more upkeep...i.e. it has to be sealed...I sprayed it with water so we could get a better feel for the colors after it's sealed)...here it is against the master bath tile (that is also the kitchen tile):
The wood flooring we are about to buy againts the kitchen tile (same as master bath tile)...the middle color is the one we chose:
Our cooktop that we picked up when we went to Denver...thanks Kat!
And just for you, Mom and Dad...see? Your garage isn't too bad...especially after Matt cleaned it out on Saturday...thanks, honey!:
